چکیده
Preeclampsia is an obstetric disease that a health problem worldwide, including in Indonesia. Several studies have shown changes the maternal spiral arteries are thought to lead preeclampsia. this decade has been associated with angiogenesis regulatory proteins originating from placenta and circulating mother's blood circulation, namely soluble FMS-like tyrosine kinase 1 (sFlt-1) placental growth factor (PlGF). The author was interested examining ratio of sFlt-1/PIGF low-density lipoprotein (LDL) incidence preeclampsia pregnant women. This study used case control analytic observational design. research sample selected by consecutive sampling 20 cases controls. Univariate analysis describe patient characteristics descriptively, bivariate determine relationship between 2 variables There no significant difference subjects. Prediction of Preeclampsia Using the Soluble fms-Like Tyrosine Kinase 1 to Placental Growth Factor Ratio
We sought to assess the ratio of sFlt-1 (soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1) to PlGF (placental growth factor) in maternal serum as a screening test for preeclampsia in unselected nulliparous women with a singleton pregnancy. We studied 4099 women recruited to the POP study (Pregnancy Outcome Prediction) (Cambridge, United Kingdom). The sFlt-1:PlGF ratio was measured using the Roche Cobas e411 ...
متن کاملDifferential diagnosis of preeclampsia: remember the soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1/placental growth factor ratio.
P reeclampsia is a pregnancy-associated condition, clinically characterized by hypertension, proteinuria, and progressive edema, affecting 3% to 5% of all pregnancies. 1 Preeclampsia can occur in previously healthy women and in women with underlying conditions, such as hypertension, lupus nephri-tis, or the antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). 1,2 Conversely, pregnancy can be a trigger to activate ...
متن کاملPregnancy/Preeclampsia Threshold of Soluble Fms-Like Tyrosine Kinase 1/Placental Growth Factor Ratio for the Imminent Onset of Preeclampsia
It has not been clarified whether thresholds of soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1 (sFlt-1), placental growth factor (PlGF), soluble endoglin, and the sFlt-1/PlGF ratio for the imminent onset of preeclampsia (PE) exist. We hypothesized that onset thresholds for the imminent onset of PE could be determined by the distributions of these 4 markers just after the onset of PE. Study subjects were 51...
متن کاملSoluble fms-Like Tyrosine Kinase 1 (sFlt1), Endoglin and Placental Growth Factor (PlGF) in Preeclampsia among High Risk Pregnancies
BACKGROUND Differences in circulating concentrations of antiangiogenic factors sFlt1 and soluble endoglin (sEng) and the pro-angiogenic growth factor PlGF are reported to precede the onset of preeclampsia weeks to months in low-risk pregnant women. The objective of this study was to investigate whether similar changes can be detected in pregnant women at high-risk to develop the syndrome. MET...
متن کاملPregnancy/Preeclampsia Midgestation Maternal Serum 25-Hydroxyvitamin D Level and Soluble Fms-Like Tyrosine Kinase 1/Placental Growth Factor Ratio as Predictors of Severe Preeclampsia
Recent studies have shown that low serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25[OH]D) level is a risk factor for preeclampsia. The clinical significance of in vitro findings that vitamin D regulates vascular endothelial growth factor production is unclear. We sought to determine whether there is an association between midgestation serum 25(OH)D levels and angiogenic factor activity and to compare their predic...
